About
Static Hum collects what the Harlow Valley’s all-ages music scene left behind between 1985 and 2005: the flyers, zines, tapes and photos that kids made for each other in basements, grange halls, lodges and back lots. Most of it was never meant to last. It lasted anyway, in shoeboxes and garages, and its owners lend it to the archive to be scanned and shared.
The archive is run by volunteers at the Harlow Public Library, where a teen board once booked bands into the community room. It is open on Saturdays from noon to 4.
