Biographical Text
Ray Albright was twenty-one when he loaded the first chair on the Silver Spoon on December 14, 1963, and he unloaded the last one on March 27, 1994. In between he rebuilt the bullwheel twice, kept the chair running through the Big Winter of 1984–85, and was known for greeting regulars by name. He was recorded for the oral history project in 2009, in the empty lodge.
