Biographical Text
Arne Lindqvist came to Harlow in 1924 to run the saw line at the Harlow Lumber Company and brought his skis with him. In the fall of 1938 he and eleven club members cut the first run on Tincup Mountain, which still carries his name, and rigged a rope tow to the engine of a Model A Ford. He drew the club's 1946 trail map by hand and ran the tow himself on weekends until the lodge company took over in 1951.
